I built my business around the belief that family photography should feel cared for, not chaotic — because I know firsthand how overwhelming these seasons can be.
Every decision, from how sessions are planned to how artwork is created, is intentional and designed to support families during moments that already feel full.
I photograph the seasons of motherhood and family life that pass all too quickly — from the anticipation of pregnancy, to those early newborn days, and the milestones and family moments that follow.

After your session, you’ll have a design and ordering appointment — virtual or online — to choose the artwork and/or digital images that best fit your family. Most families invest $1,500+ on heirloom albums, framed artwork, and digital images.

Simplicity Sessions
A short and sweet session in the studio or nearby field — perfect for babies over 3 months, expectant mothers, or siblings. Designed for up to two people.
These 20-minute sessions capture the little details that change so quickly, preserving this sweet stage in your baby’s story.
WHEN SHOULD I reserve my session?
As soon as possible! Most clients reserve their session 2–4 months in advance. I take a limited number of sessions each month to provide a stress-free, personal experience.
WHAT ENSURES A FULL-SERVICE EXPERIENCE?
I guide you every step — from planning outfits, to professional hair & makeup, to designing finished artwork for your home — so all you have to do is show up and enjoy.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE SESSION FEE?
Planning & styling guidance, access to the curated client wardrobe, professional hair & makeup coordination for mom, and a fully guided session. Afterward, we’ll meet for a design & ordering appointment to create artwork you love.
HOW MUCH WILL I INVEST?
Most families invest a total of $1,750–$5,000 on the full Katie Petrick Photography experience — including session, artwork, albums, and digital images.
DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?
Yes — flexible payment plans are available for artwork purchases.
HOW LONG UNTIL I RECEIVE MY IMAGES?
Gallery delivery is typically 3–4 weeks after your ordering appointment.
WHEN SHOULD I HAVE MY NEWBORN SESSION?
Within 7–14 days after birth, while baby is still sleepy and curled. If you’re past that window, don’t worry — I photograph babies up to 6 weeks old and will create something beautiful at any age.
WHEN SHOULD I HAVE MY MATERNITY SESSION?
Around 28–34 weeks — when your bump is beautifully round but you still feel comfortable.
WHERE WILL MY SESSION TAKE PLACE?
Sessions can be held in your home, in the studio, or outdoors. We’ll choose the perfect location together.
