As a North Carolina family photographer I love fall. Like many of you I also get so excited for your mini sessions. I love the cooler tempetures for the kids during the sessions, and the colors are so beautiful for your images. My best advice for mamas is to really consider your outfits for these session, so you get the beautiful images you can enjoy year long. My best advice to you for your fall mini session is to……..
Let nature and the beautiful colors of fall be the majority color in your images!
It is easy to rush out and get all the orange, red, and dark green to match the changing leaves. However, my best advice is to save those outfits for the day-to-day, not your family’s images! Why? Well, when you wear colors that match the background, you will blend in. As a family photographer, my job is to ensure that you are the first thing everyone looks at when they see your images! So my best advice is to find colors that will complement the changing leaves and earthy tones. Neutral tans, ivory, white, and pastel colors will be your best option. My favorite options are going to have texture and warmers patterns. This adds some depth to your images, and the textured clothing items give the cozy feeling of falling.
Below are some great options for what would look great for your family images! If you are interested in a family session this fall, you can send me an inquiry by clicking this link!
